CityMaking: Dr Mindy Thompson Fullilove on Main Street

  • Grit Works 115 Broadway Newburgh NY, 12550 United States (map)

How do Main Streets contribute to our mental health? On Thursday October 27th The Fullerton is hosting social psychiatrist and author Dr. Mindy Thompson Fullilove around her book, Main Street: How a City's Heart Connects Us All.

Dr. Fullilove's work is so relevant to the City of Newburgh and the challenges and opportunities it currently faces. She is deeply knowledgeable about how communities form and are sustained, what gives them life, and what causes people to become isolated and separated.

NOTE: This event will take place Thursday, October 27th, from 5pm to 8pm, with a group walking tour down Broadway at 5pm followed by a virtual discussion with Dr. Fulilove at Gritworks at 6pm.

This event is part of the Fullerton's CityMaking Salon Series. We've already held a Public Transit discussion with author Steven Higashide at Wireworks and and an Urban Sustainability discussion with author Melissa Checker at the Downing Park Urban Farm and were excited to attract lively conversation from a diverse array of community members at both events.

Read more about her book or watch her videos.
